What a badge does and does not promise.
Two tiers. One is a gate, the other is a record. Neither is a guarantee, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Verified
The seller passed a government issued ID check run by a third party identity provider, which compares the document against a live selfie. That happens entirely on the provider infrastructure. We receive a pass or fail result and a reference token, and nothing else ever reaches our database.
What it tells you: this account belongs to a real, named person who can be identified if something goes wrong. What it does not tell you: anything about the item, its condition, or whether this person is pleasant to deal with.
Trusted Seller
Earned, not bought. A verified seller becomes a Trusted Seller after completing a minimum number of sales with a strong average feedback score. Both thresholds are configurable and both are shown on the seller profile, so you can see the record rather than taking the badge on faith.
The badge can be removed. A run of poor feedback or a substantiated report drops a seller back down.
No badge
Not a red flag by itself. Everyone starts here. It means the account has not been through the identity check, so their listings are reviewed by a moderator before they publish and they carry more risk for you as a buyer. Weigh it alongside the proof photograph, the serial number, and how the person communicates.
