Listing is free today. Here is the current position and, honestly, where it is going.
Right now
Listing is free. There is no charge to create a listing, no insertion fee, and no commission, because payment happens directly between you and the buyer and we are not part of it.
Browsing is free and always will be, for everyone.
What is coming
On platform checkout is in development. When it arrives we will take a percentage of completed sales rather than charging to list, because a fee to list is a fee you pay whether or not we find you a buyer.
The rate will taper on higher value items rather than being flat, so a three thousand dollar body is not penalised at the same rate as a two hundred dollar lens. Exact figures will be published here well before anything changes, and no existing listing will have a fee applied retroactively.
Optional extras
Featured placement and verified seller membership are paid upgrades. Neither is required to sell, and neither affects whether your listing appears in normal search results.
What we will not do
We will not introduce a listing fee without telling you first, we will not quietly change a rate, and we will not charge for the trust features. Verification, serial recording and proof of ownership are how the marketplace works, not an upsell.
